A weekend walk, a hedgehog, a tadpole update and homemade peanut butter

Quite random posts, just a general catch up...

We went for a walk with friends this weekend...our first Geocache experience.  They planned a route that included around 10 hidden treasures, not a million miles from home (between Silsden and Addingham Moorside). It was a gorgeous sunny day, a few whingey moments and nettle stings all round, but enjoyable on the whole.  A few snaps along the way...

J spotted our resident hedgehog in the garden the other evening (red-eye makes it look a bit evil)...
Ro and I had a go at making our own peanut butter yesterday...I always buy the whole earth brand of peanut butter and noticed the price when I picked up a jar £2.68, quite pricey. A bought a bag of mixed peanuts and raisins for 68p...
We took out all the raisins, dry roasted the nuts for 10 minutes and whizzed away for a few minutes, added a drop of oil and honey, a tiny pinch of salt and hey presto...peanut butter...
I'm not sure if I've mentioned the tadpoles we are caring for, but I caught 2 of them kissing today! Ahhh...

  1. Love those cows peeking over the wall. How fun to geocache, it is something I am excited to try with my little man, hopefully this summer. Look at those tadpoles. They look like they will be transforming soon. Have a wonderful weekend.
