My Grandad sent over some colourful oblong foam blocks, thinking they may be of some use. They are! the kids have loved playing with them, in one evening they had been a train, stacked as a tower, a seat...I thought great, just leave them as they are...then M sat watching a film and quietly picked away at the edges...hmmm better cover them there foam blocks. The largest one I covered with red velvet (leftovers from the cloak)...
I decided to make a patchwork cover for the smaller block: old jeans. I wish I hadn't rushed it, then all the squares would have been in line...
I was on a roll...what else could I make? I ordered some washi tape online and it dropped through the letterbox the other day. I was so disappointed when I opened the 10 rolls of teeny tiny tape, I was expecting masking tape sized rolls! Anyway, I keep seeing pictures of peg games online and I've been meaning to have a go at making my own...yesterday was that day.
Ro was poorly, he just wanted to do quiet things: jigsaws, reading...so I made him a washi tape colour matching peg game...
and as I had another side to the pegs...I made another...
this time for counting...silver mirrored stars (table confetti) a black ink pad and some rubber stamps...I really do like making things...Nx
